The course follows the natural contours of the volcanic land, curving down to a clifftop green high above the ocean before climbing back up to the clubhouse.
The fairways are mostly wide, perfectly maintained and forgiving, but the prevalent ocean breeze often provides a proverbial spanner in the works.
In 2003, 9 more holes were added to Golf Costa Adeje. The Los Lagos course is short, but technical challenge to the time bereft player. As with the championship course, the ocean views are astounding.
How to get there:
Golf Costa Adeje is in an area called Los Olivos, above the fishing village of La Caleta. From Playa de las Americas take exit 79b off the TF-1 motorway ( Las Nieves-Los Olivos).
You should then see the orange signs leading to 'Campo de Golf'. At the big roundabout take the road which leads down to La Caleta, past the big green supermarket Hiper Trebol. About half a mile down the road, turn right, then 100 metres later, left at the mini-roundabout. This will take you to the car park and the club house.
NOTE: From May through September the price of a round drops to €57
