If you like a bit of starched cotton and polished silverware in your dining venue then La Vieja would be a wise choice. Especially if you've got fish on your mind. Not only do you get some of the best seafood in Tenerife, quirky mariner-themed decor and on-the-ball waiting staff, you also get an eyeful of Atlantic Ocean and La Gomera while you chow down. The Salmon Lasagna has a loyal local following, as does the Sama Roquera (a meaty, locally-netted fish). The array of seafood choices can be dizzying, but non-fishy types can choose from a small selection of meat dishes including Fillet Steak and Duck. If you're looking for paella, you could do a lot worse than La Vieja. Their own special version has a few surprises! It's also pleasing to see that La Vieja supports the island wine industry with a lenghty list of Tenerife labels to choose from.
